Highland Village: A Charming Neighborhood Surrounded by Shopping

Highland Village, situated inside the 610 Loop in the triangle formed by Greenway Plaza, Uptown, and River Oaks, offers a unique blend of classic Houston charm and modern convenience.

Originally developed in the early 1950s, the neighborhood has evolved over the decades – with many of the older homes replaced by larger, updated residences in the 2000s – while still retaining its established character. The area benefits from convenient access to upscale shopping at Highland Village Shopping Center, as well as nearby H-E-B Central Market and Whole Foods. With its close proximity to renowned shopping and dining districts in Uptown and Upper Kirby, along with easy access to adjacent neighborhoods such as Afton Oaks, Upper Kirby, River Oaks, —or even West University Place—residents enjoy a well-connected lifestyle. For those looking to build a home that reflects the timeless charm of Highland Village while incorporating modern luxury, On Point Custom Homes offers expert custom home building and remodeling services. Whether you’re envisioning a new construction or a thoughtful renovation, On Point Custom Homes provides the perfect blend of craftsmanship and innovation to create a home that suits your vision in this vibrant Houston community.
